Well, last week was somewhat of an interesting week. Minnesota Golden Gopher senior goalie Alex Kangas has played his last game of the season. Kangas will undergo surgery on Friday for a torn labrum in his left hip.

Well, the craziness seems to have ended for SCSU this week. All appears to be normal again. No players were suspended, and everyone is happy coming off of the first WCHA sweep of the season. The article describes the players as breaking curfew and alcohol consumption along with another member of the team. UMD defenseman Dylan Olsen has decided to sign with the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL. He was, allegedly, going to be academically ineligible for the second half of the season. 

Olsen was the 28th overall pick in the 2009 draft. He had one goal and 12 assists in 17 games this season for the Bulldogs.

The WCHA has released a "new" logo and a slogan to go along with it. They did it in recognition of Bemidji and Omaha joining the league. Personally, I think the old logo looks better than this one. A more prominent W does nothing for me. As for the slogan, what are they going to do if/when the Gophers and Badgers leave? Change it to "Just got easier"?
