Hepp Leaves Huskies for Idaho of ECHL

SCSU Senior defenseman Chris Hepp has left the team and signed with Idaho of the ECHL, according to an official SCSU release today.

Senior defenseman Chris Hepp (Savage, Minn.) has officially left the men’s hockey team at St. Cloud State University, Husky head coach Bob Motzko announced today. Hepp has signed a contract to play professionally with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL.

A three-year player at St. Cloud State, Hepp played in 100 games during his career with the Huskies. He tallied 3 goals and 10 assists during his collegiate career in St. Cloud, and he leaves the squad after scoring one goal and two assists for the Huskies in 2010-11.

“Chris was a big part of our success in 2009-10 with his physical and demanding defensive play," Motzko said. "We thank him for his contributions to the program and we wish him all the best as he begins his professional career.
